Detox Day 1


Okay, so I'm detoxing.

I'm following the diet plan outlined by Natalia Rose in her book, The Raw Food Detox Diet. Yes, she actually outlines a diet plan. Not only does she do that, she has different plans for people depending on which "level" they are at with raw foods (or cooked) AND she gives almost all of the recipes!! And if you know a thing about me thus far... you know I love recipes.

I am not sure how head-long I'll dive into this "detox" enigma, but so far my goals are to explore raw foods and become healthier. I think I am succeeding!

Sadly, I have no pictures to show for my creations today, but as I go along I will share my favorites.

The best thing I was able to concoct today was Maple-Glazed Salmon--recipe courtesy of Miss Rose. It was so delicious that I gobbled it up in about five minutes! (Am I allowed to eat that fast during detox??)

Short Outline of my meals today:

1. Green Smoothie
2. Coffee with almond milk and agave
3. Apple
4. Raw Salad with Carrot-Ginger Dressing
5. Lara Bar
6. Salmon
7. 70% Cocoa dark chocolate (Photo)
8. Sprouted-Grain bread and hummus

(I might have sneaked a couple cookies in there..)

Anyway, I'll continue updating throughout the week!
